EVICTION
OF THE MASOCHIST FROM HELL
OPENING
15 AUGUST 2008
Return coordinates of the last flight of Antoine de Saint Exupéry
The green Chair
The Guardian
I have the Impression
of floating.
Fading in and out,
gliding, slow and pensive;
I am nothing without
the Other.
Deference; our singularity
making past, future,
present.
Arms outstretched,
turn to greet the new Sun.
Only now each moment
changing
the Horizon.
From where, comes
this heavy skin,
the hardened resolve?
Visiting Jeffrey
I am still frightened
by You,
I'm Sorry.
You come to me
in dream,
like this dawn;
wild, warm,
stone-chisled-face
(7 times in 5 years)
I feign understanding
and compassion,
but quiver behind shallow
masked guilt.
How to stop
the flood
of memories,
when without effort
they come and taunt
and tap on shoulder
-little ghosts of the past
pranksters
hiding just outside the
periphery
popping in,
and out;
world of staggered frames.
Anywhere America,
hotel room,
wouldn't know it's NY
unless you happen
to draw back the curtains.
44th and 8th subway,
C-line downtown
to see bits of divine.
End up leaving the Art district and
Galleries to the Artists.
Window shopping through
thick glass panes,
quick peek inside.
Walk down 8th Ave, for coffee
and another cigarette.
It is nice to go
totally unnoticed;
Just another average Joe,
sitting on a bench
in Chelsea,
leaving the art
to the Artists.
Spent mixed dark hours,
mending, tearing,
mending,
hearts and tongues
and groins.
Making sometimes cheerful dawning,
making sometimes veiled shadow coverings;
making safe places—burrowed blanket—
hiding.Hissing in ears, nibbling wet lips and nipples.
Following lines down to wet places,
memorizing stretch-marks and cuts.
